The
Dalmatian coastline zigs and zags seemingly endlessly forming
inlets which for centuries enticed seafaring pirates, would-be
conquerors and and hard-working fishermen alike. Today one stands
in awe of Dalmatia's beauty and is able to appreciate, to some
extent, the lure this spot on earth has held throughout the ages.
Nature has generously blessed Dalmatia with her bounty. Dalmatia
is dappled with the emerald hues of pine trees and olive trees,
bathed in the delectable juices of grape vines, and adorned with
citrus fruits and lush vegetation.

| The
very beginnings of "tourism" date back to the Romans
and their cottages, "villae rusticae", that were built
facing the afternoon sun to take full advantage of the mildness
of the climate at any time of the year. The beauty of Dalmatia's
natural gifts were appreciated by these Roman patricians as evidenced
by their carved stone building slabs which have since been incorporated
into structures of more modern times. |

Throughout
the year experience the ever-changing face of Dalmatia. Depending
